Yesterday was a great start to this journey, after doing some cleaning around the house we decided to go for a walk. To my surprise the front tire on my jogging stroller was totally flat. After about 45 minutes of looking for the bike pump and trying to put air into it, I got just enough in it so it wasn't just on the rim. Definitally need to get a new tire though because I don't think I can repair it. So we set out on our walk, sky was blue and the sun was shining... Till about 30 minutes later when the blackest clouds came rolling in and we began to feel the cold wind a few sprinkles, then our peaceful walk turned into a run for the last .5 mile... Of course as soon as we got back to the house the sun was out and the clouds were gone.
Lucky for me I have Turbo fit here at the house, so came upstairs and put in the 20 minute leg tone and made it about 10 minutes through it before I couldn't do anymore... Hoping to make it through the whole 20 minutes next time.
Had a great dinner, citrus and basil chicken on a bed of avocado and spinach leaves with a olive oil and balsamic. Very flavorful and filling. Next change is going to be to stop eating after 8 at night. This is a hard task right now because Donny does not come home from work till after 9 and I have food waiting for him. I end up waiting till later in the night to start dinner and so as a family we eat later in the day, but still go to bed around 11. Starting next week though Donny is going back on midnight shift work, so we will be eating dinner as a family earlier and so after he leaves for work I just have to have stronger will power and not have a snack before bed. It is so easy to grab a cookie or have a late night bowl of cereal, that is my favorite of choice...
Goals of the day are to get the stroller fixed, the back tire of my bike (Yep that one is totally flat too) and to get my discussion posted for Environmental Biology done, Donny is off of work tomorrow, his only day off this week till Monday :( So we are thinking of doing something outside and I don't want to worry about school work.
Headed to the scale now, Lets see how the progress of changing habits is going - 176.5 and this morning I am going to be putting the wrap on my upper thighs, this will be a true test because I am not a happy camper with my thighs at all, that is why no one sees me in shorts, but capris and longer skirts... Starting measurements are Right Upper thigh 25" and Lower thigh 21" and Left thigh is 25.5" and 21" I will post the results later today and then again every 24 hours...
Supplements today - Greens, thermofit, and for the first time I am going to try the carb fighter after lunch.
Keep up the dedication Casey! I learned a long time ago that just being really really really awesome doesn't help shed the pounds. I'll try and keep up on here and help you stay motivated, because it is always much easier when you know you have people watching/supporting.
ReplyDeleteRemember to not judge your performance by shear poundage lost, the more active you become the more muscle you will develop... which weighs something like 3 times that of fat. Judge your progress by your performance, the way you feel, the way you feel about you, which in itself should already be great. If you have the time I suggest trying Paulette's spin class, its an hour of cardio which can def get the sweat pouring!
You are such an uplifter.... I hope this journey changes habits and helps me enjoy life more instead of constantly worrying about weight... I want to be around for Kiefer as long as possible... I have always dreamed of being skinny, but I was to althetic and so more muscle which discourages the number on the scales... As long as I feel healthy and I can keep up with my toddler than I am happy. I have a husband who loves me and supports everything I d...
ReplyDeleteThank you Ryan, tour words mean a lot to me...
