Will I hit my goal?

Day 4 - A day in History...

Spent the morning watching history, the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Catherine was one of the most romantic and Cinderella stories... I am so happy to have witnessed this event and I wish this couple an amazing life together...
Woke up this morning feeling more alive, my energy is so much higher lately, haven't felt this way in awhile. Could it be taking the Greens every morning? The Acia berry in the fat burner? I don't feel jittery or hyper, I just feel great...
We had Donny home yesterday for his day off, so I spent the morning finishing up a homework discussion on changing the rules of fishing and its impact on the marine environment. Hit the commisary up for some fresh ingredients... Wish fruits and veggies had coupons... That is where most of our money goes, I am looking forward to the day I can have a garden and be much more self sufficent... Learning how to incorporate more vegetables into my families diet is a fun task and I look forward to finding even more receipes... I have been changing it up adding more spinach leaves since they have a good amount of folic acid and omega 3's, but I have to do very little steps other wise both of the boys will have some issues....
As for excersize yesterday it was more of a day of rest, running errands we parked farther out and walked and then did a few laps inside the BX and the commisary... Went to Asia for dinner, LOVE LOVE LOVE that place, if you have not gone, I highly recommend it... Mongolian BBQ, salad bar, chinese buffet and SUSHI!!! That is where I go, I grabbed a little salad and then about 15 pieces of salamon sashimi and it was so yummy!!!
Doing great at not eating after 8, which can be a task the last few nights because I am used to it, so before I go to bed I hear my tummy talking, but I haven't given in and drank a glass of water and went to bed... Will power....
Getting the stroller ready for the 5K over on Ramstein tomorrow morning, we are getting there around 845 for the run. I called and asked to make sure I could run with a stroller and the girl on the phone was like yes, its going to be runner then walkers and then strollers. I asked what about runners with strollers? She couldn't answer me, so tomorrow I am going to butt my way between the runners and walkers because I am NOT going to get stuck when I want to run... My goal is to finish the 5K in under 30 minutes, doable with the right music, so I also need to update my playlist...

Day 3, woke up feeling GREAT!!!

Truly enjoyed my day yesterday. Got the house cleaned up, couches and curtains washed, laundry done, and made it to the gym after Donny got home from work. One of the things I have stopped doing since starting this journey was cutting out snacking, and as a stay at home mom that can be a huge hurdle to over come. Not just because it is easy to snack through out the day, but to eat the right foods. For those of you have kids or baby sit during the day, you understand that kids can be hungry ALL of the time. With Kiefer I swear one day he bearly eats and then the next he wants 8 full meals... I was bad at not wanting to waste food so I would just finish what was on his plate, which normally wasn't much, but it was extra calories. I started giving him smaller portions and he comes back if he is hungry or if he is done after 2 bites than I am not wanting to finish his food. Small changes are totally helping.
A good friend of mine commented yesterday about numbers on the scale not being everything, I think that is so true, muscle does weigh more than fat, and I try so hard to tell myself that every time I step on the scale. For the last 10 years I have heard over and over that I don't look as much as I say I weigh. But when I go to the doctors they always comment to me about my weight and how I am in the highly over weight to obese due to my BMI. That can be very discouraging when you are told that when you think you feel good and can keep up with your kid (on most days) I want everyone to know that the reason I am truly wanting to loose this weight is to live longer and to show how awesome these itworks! products are working. Plus loosing just 10 pounds can help increase your fertility.
So yesterday I wore 2 wraps on my thighs, this was an interesting task to say the least. The wraps move around even with clear wrap on, so I just adjusted them about every hour and moved them around on my leg. After one hour of wearing I took them off entirely and measured right thigh - 24.75" and 21", Left thigh 25" and 21" which means I had lost
Then this morning I measured again Right thigh 24" and 20.5", Left thigh 24.5" and 21" loosing another
Last night was also time for another abdomen wrap, since this was my third wrap I was thinking that I might not get any results. Before putting the wrap on measurements were Upper ab 35.5", 39" middle and 40.5" on the lower ab, I wore the wrap over night and upon waking up measurements were 34", 37.5", and 39"!!! That is a loss of 4.5" overall in the 3 spots!!!!! If I had not measured myself I would have said that this girl is lieing through her teeth and that on a third wrap she is still loosing inches...
Yesterday was also the first day I started taking fat fighters after I ate. You take 2 pills with in an after you eat and it helps. This is the wording from the website "Simply take Fat Fighter within an hour of eating, and it will absorb some of the fat and carbohydrates from your food so that your body doesn't! Powered by NeOpuntia (a naturally based ingredient made from the "prickly pear" cactus) and the It Works proprietary blend, Advanced Formula Fat Fighter delivers dynamic, clinically tested results for both men and women." I found that it made me a little more thirsty, but I was drinking water though out the day and just felt like a needed another glass. Not like I was dieing of thirst, but just needed some...
I am also taking the Greens every morning, 2 little scoops that hold 8 servings of fruit and vegetable, just putting it in my orange juice and it is really easy to drink.
Last think I took yesterday and truly loving it is the Ultimate Thermo Fit, you take this one with your meal, I tried to take it before my meal with a full glass of water, figure it couldn't hurt to drink more water... This is the words from the site "Fire up your metabolism with this naturally based thermogenic weight loss formula! Ultimate ThermoFit helps to:
  • Reduce appetite
  • Increase lean body mass
  • Boost metabolic rate to burn more calories
  • Increase energy levels"
It has Acia Berry in it and I love that, I have drank monavie and really like it. It is natural, so no added caffeine to give you the jitters or anything like that. I have tried so many diet pills in my past and I will never ever do that again. After reading more on these I thought I would try them out. I really love them, I am not as hungry and after being home with Kiefer for around 13-14 hours a day while Donny is at work I was exhausted, but last night when Donny got home I went up to the gym to watch DWTS and get my sweat on... After running for 10 minutes, jumped on the stair master for 30 minutes, jammed to NKOTBSB and felt great, tried to do some push ups got about 3 normal and about 10 girl style ones before I couldn't do anymore. SO that will be added to my challenge to get that number higher....

Just jumped on the scale and it said 175!!!!

Just a fabulous day over all and so excited for today. Donny has today off, so after finishing posting homework we have some errands to do and enjoy this beautiful day. GO BRUINS!!! They made it to the second round of the playoffs last night, so hubby didn't go to bed till around 4 or 5, not sure cause I had been asleep forever by then....

Day 2, Tuesday, April 27 2011

Yesterday was a great start to this journey, after doing some cleaning around the house we decided to go for a walk. To my surprise the front tire on my jogging stroller was totally flat. After about 45 minutes of looking for the bike pump and trying to put air into it, I got just enough in it so it wasn't just on the rim. Definitally need to get a new tire though because I don't think I can repair it. So we set out on our walk, sky was blue and the sun was shining... Till about 30 minutes later when the blackest clouds came rolling in and we began to feel the cold wind a few sprinkles, then our peaceful walk turned into a run for the last .5 mile... Of course as soon as we got back to the house the sun was out and the clouds were gone.
Lucky for me I have Turbo fit here at the house, so came upstairs and put in the 20 minute leg tone and made it about 10 minutes through it before I couldn't do anymore... Hoping to make it through the whole 20 minutes next time.
Had a great dinner, citrus and basil chicken on a bed of avocado and spinach leaves with a olive oil and balsamic. Very flavorful and filling. Next change is going to be to stop eating after 8 at night. This is a hard task right now because Donny does not come home from work till after 9 and I have food waiting for him. I end up waiting till later in the night to start dinner and so as a family we eat later in the day, but still go to bed around 11. Starting next week though Donny is going back on midnight shift work, so we will be eating dinner as a family earlier and so after he leaves for work I just have to have stronger will power and not have a snack before bed. It is so easy to grab a cookie or have a late night bowl of cereal, that is my favorite of choice...
Goals of the day are to get the stroller fixed, the back tire of my bike (Yep that one is totally flat too) and to get my discussion posted for Environmental Biology done, Donny is off of work tomorrow, his only day off this week till Monday :( So we are thinking of doing something outside and I don't want to worry about school work.
Headed to the scale now, Lets see how the progress of changing habits is going - 176.5 and this morning I am going to be putting the wrap on my upper thighs, this will be a true test because I am not a happy camper with my thighs at all, that is why no one sees me in shorts, but capris and longer skirts... Starting measurements are Right Upper thigh 25" and Lower thigh 21" and Left thigh is 25.5" and 21" I will post the results later today and then again every 24 hours...

Supplements today - Greens, thermofit, and for the first time I am going to try the carb fighter after lunch.

Journey to feeling FABULOUS at 30 in 30 Days....

I feel like I am one of the last people to start a blog, but I thought what is the best way to record my journey as I turn 30 in 30 days... Along with the hundreds of other things I have going on I am determined to loose some weight and feel fabulous when the 25th of May arrives.
As some of you know I have a lot on my plate, but for those of you I am just meeting I can fill you in. As a stay at home mom for our son Kiefer, who is turning 3 in less than 60 days, my days are filled with crafts and trips to the park, pool, and play dates. Responsibilities at the house are never ending. The feeling that the clothes in the laundry basket are never ending and no matter how many dishes are loaded in the dishwasher, there is always another cup or plate on the counter. If the floors are cleaned by 10 they are destroyed by crumbs by 12, don't get me started on the windows, how does one toddler get smudges 6 feet high? Currently a full time student using the traditional GI BILL to finish up on prerequisites needed to get into George Washington University this fall... Currently in the last class needed - Environmental Biology and it is a doosey. The class is 5 weeks long and just starting week 2... The class will finish out on the 23rd of May, so I will be complete with Ashford University just days before the BIG 30! On top of that my spa business is doing fabulous, some of the best clients in the world. It is the best gift to help someone find something that they need. Plus a small business just rocks when you are doing taxes...
Latest adventure has been the itworks corporation. Learning about it through a friend in our village I thought I would try it out. Since I will try just about anything once before deciding. Some may say it sounds to good to be true, wear a wrap for at least an hour and loose inches. After reading online about the company and testimonies I decided to try one out. In less than ONE hour of wearing the wrap I had lost over 4 inches total in 3 spots on my abdomen. If it wasn't me that saw her measure, wear the wrap, and remeasure I would have called the person a liar. That made me a believer on the spot. Purchasing a box of 4 wraps from Jessie I wanted to continue wearing the wraps. You can wear a new wrap every four days because the wrap continues working for 72 hours!
In this blog for the next 30 days I want to record my weight loss progress with itworks and excersize. Talking about what I am doing daily, measurements of inches, change of diet, and supplements to help aid the progress towards being FABULOUS at 30!!!
